Induction Melting Furnace controlled by PLC
Apple Valley, CA – Induction Technology Corporation recently shipped a large induction melting system for a refinery customer. The system is ITC PowerMelt 250 kW 1000 Hz power supply paired with ITC 2000 power cube furnace.
The system is designed to melt up to 3400 Lbs. of silver in approximately 80 minutes, and is equipped with a state-of-the-art PLC and two 15” human-machine interfaces (HMI); one located locally for unit output and performance data, maintenance and troubleshooting, and data acquisition; and another located remotely for unit output and performance data optimizing furnace operations. The PLC and HMI interface allows for implementation of the latest in process control technologies.
The equipment is built to NFPA® 70, NFPA® 79, UL 508A, and UL 1012 standards for operation within the US. However we are fully capable of manufacturing to IEC, CE, and CSA standards for shipment outside of the United States.
